HE has made a mint from his music career and is worth over £900million – but Sir Paul McCartney is not resting on his laurels.

He has raked in an impressive £1.5million profit in just 12 months from a new business which sees him investing his hard-earned dosh into up-and-coming companies.

Since he started his company MPL Ventures during the pandemic, Paul has backed a company making a plant-based chicken alternative and a music company which was behind ABBA’s last album.

A source said: “Paul is a man of many talents and his new business is bringing in the big bucks.

“He uses the company to invest cash in growing businesses and it’s working a treat.

“So far he’s used cash to help fund TiNDLE which makes fake chicken in the US and hopes to bring the product to the UK.

PAUL'S LOSS

What to know about Sir Paul McCartney's brother-in-law John Eastman & his death

“Paul also invested in a British based music tech start-up called Audoo.

“The choices might be a little less traditional than the stock market but it’s paying dividends to Paul.

“His accounts this week showed he has £1.5million in the business now – and it’s all thanks to those clever investments.

“Paul is always looking for the next big thing and he’s off to a strong start.”

For a man who turned 80 in June, this is a seriously impressive feat.

Still sharp

I caught Paul at Glastonbury this summer and he put on a show I will never forget – proving his music prowess is still as sharp now as it was during his Beatles hey-day.

His bandmate Ringo Starr previously put the band’s success down to Paul’s drive.

He said of the music icon: “If Paul hadn’t been in the band, we’d probably have made two albums, because we were lazy.

“Paul’s a workaholic. John [Lennon] and I would be sitting in the garden taking in the colour green from the tree.”

I’d be right there with you, Ringo.

Rita bares her Wyld side

RITA Ora may have toned down her party-loving ways but I’m happy to report she’s not gone completely tame on us just yet.

The Let You Love Me singer celebrated Halloween in style by hitting multiple parties in a single night.

Rita ditched her bra in favour of some carefully placed jewels on her chest and completed the look with a semi-sheer sarong-style skirt.

Kicking off her night in North London, she rubbed shoulders with David Walliams and Alan Carr at Jonathan Ross’ annual Halloween bash before heading off to exclusive Mayfair nightclub WYLD.

An onlooker said: “Rita was clearly in the party spirit after Jonathan’s, so headed to WYLD with her sister and a couple of pals shortly before 2am.

“They had their own VIP section cordoned off ready for their arrival, so could have kept things low-key. But her time there was anything but.

“Rita hadn’t been in there for long before thousands of pounds worth of champagne was sent to her table.

“She looked over the moon and jumped up on her seat and started grinding for fellow revellers. She was in the club almost until the end of the night.”

Next week, Rita and husband Taika Waititi will co-host the 2022 MTV EMAs in Dusseldorf, Germany – the first time the couple have worked publicly together publicly.

Peter is the daddy for Junior

JUNIOR Andre has revealed chart-topper dad Peter is keen to get involved in his music career.

Talking exclusively, Junior said: “He is my biggest inspiration and I am doing what I am doing now as a result of him.

“He lets me do my thing. He doesn’t get involved in the music side but tells me what to write in my songs.”

Junior, who has a new single out in the New Year, said he was still pinching himself over the reaction to his debut track Slide in the summer.

He added: “I still can’t believe the crowd going so mad for me at my Shutdown show in Sunderland.

“The fans were amazing and I didn’t expect to get that kind of reaction.

“I know I release music and people know of it, but I didn’t think I would get a reaction like that. It took me by surprise

“It’s like your dreams are coming true all at once and it’s amazing when people are cheering for you. It’s magical.”

New Eras for Taylor

The Eras Tour will mark the first time in five years that Taylor Swift will take her concerts globally

TAYLOR SWIFT has announced her first global tour in five years.

She will kick off March in Arizona before making her way across the US.

The Eras Tour is then due to head to the UK and Europe for another leg.

Taylor said: “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career, past and present.

“The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can.”

It is her first since 2018’s sell-out Reputation Stadium Tour, which included two nights at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and Wembley in London.

She’s on top of the world and I’ve no doubt it will sell out in minutes.

WHEN it comes to making a high-impact return to the charts, Pink always gets her skates on.

In these exclusive pictures from her new video, the singer races around a supermarket on wheels – with a huge grin.

On Friday, Pink will release her long-awaited comeback single Never Not Gonna Dance Again before performing it live on November 20 during the American Music Awards.

The track will serve as the lead single to her ninth studio album.

It is her first since 2019’s Hurts 2B Human, which topped the charts in both the UK and the US.

In June, Pink is due to kick off her Summer Carnival shows in Bolton before dates in Sunderland, Birmingham and in London’s Hyde Park, as part of British Summer Time.

She’s one of the best live performers I’ve ever seen, so you can bet I’ll be there to check her out.

Bastille to celebrate Bad Blood

WHO needs Las Vegas when you’ve got Margate?

The Kent seaside town will play host to a string of gigs next summer, with Bastille set for a special performance.

The group are set to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album Bad Blood, which topped the UK chart in 2013.

Bastille will take to the stage on July 1 at Margate’s famous vintage-themed Dreamland amusement park and gig venue.

Lindsay chilled out

Lindsay Lohan has mellowed and matured after being known as the child film star who turned into a tearaway

LINDSAY Lohan was the ultimate child film star who turned into a tearaway.

For years I watched as the actress stumbled from club to club as she struggled to cope with life as one of the most in-demand celebrities on the planet.

But her new life could not be more subdued and serene if she tried.

Lindsay, who will make her film comeback this month on Netflix romcom Falling For Christmas, admits she now shuns wild evenings out in favour early nights and meditation sessions.

Of her new life in Dubai, Lindsay explained: “I also go to bed really early – 9.30. I need my seven to eight hours of sleep.

“When I’m filming, I can get away with six sometimes if we have really early calls. But I like my sleep and feel better when I get it.

In Cosmopolitan magazine, she added of her new healthy lifestyle: “I love running on treadmills, it’s my favourite way to just release.

“And I meditate in the mornings. I meditate in the shower, actually. I have a small group of good friends who are just really good people.

“That’s the only support that I really need – friends, family, and loved ones. Not industry friends. Totally separate.”

Lindsay also said she now refuses to post anything online without having it signed off by her team.

She revealed: “I think it moves really fast and I just try to keep up as best I can.

“And I check everything before I post it.

“I’ll send it to people, because you have to. Everyone’s so quick right now.
